( Her nod is accompanied by a small, affirmative hum to his words, and by now, they've picked their way through the food while discussing all of this. It feels better, having this direction, starting a new chapter of life instead of simply sticking with the old one because it's comfortable.

A waiter comes by with the dessert menu, and disappears quietly as Kate scans it, listing off each item to Ignis before placing it on the table in front of her. )

... Or we could see about that room.
